The nation's nurse practitioners are launching a national ad campaign in support of the Veterans Administration's proposal to expand the practice authority for advanced practice registered nurses in its health care system, Becker's Hospital Review and other media outlets reported this week. The campaign includes national TV and radio ads, digital media and grassroots efforts to raise awareness about the proposal. Forbes reported that the campaign budget is seven figures and the most ever spent by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). AONE is urging members to submit comments, due July 25, in support of the proposed rule. (AANP news release, 7/5/16)
