American Health Care Act

The latest Congressional Budget Office (CBO) estimates the impact of the American Health Care Act (AHCA) only reinforce our deep concerns about the bill, which narrowly passed the House May 4. Specifically, CBO found the AHCA would leave 23 million additional people uninsured in 10 years and cut $834 billion from the Medicaid program. In 2018, 14 million fewer people would have coverage.

AONE and the American Hospital Association did not support the AHCA because it could jeopardize health coverage for millions of Americans. Reports indicate Senate staff are drafting legislative language and a vote on a revised bill may occur by the July 4 recess, making this a critical time to make your voice heard. Health care coverage is at risk.
